    Logon screen on second monitor

    Hi
I have a dual monitor setup, with a 1280x1024 VGA monitor coupled with a DVI 1920x1080 monitor. I use the 1920x1080 one as primary, because I like to play a few videogames and they're much better on the widescreen (and higher res).

However, I'd like to be able to display the windows 7 logon screen on the secondary (vga) monitor, it's just a minor bug but I'd like it that way because whenever I wake up my computer, the vga monitor wakes up almost instantly but the widescreen seems to take a few seconds to wake up, and I'd like to be able to input my password and start using my PC right away - I use an nvidia card if that means anything (maybe the ati drivers support it but not nvidia I don't know).

It's just a minor bug, I can live with it this way but it would be cool to get it exactly the way I want, so thanks in advance :)

    Hello,

I'm not sure if that is possible. You can try physically switching ports on your video card (just switch the cables around). Then you can change which monitor is primary in Screen Resolution.

My monitors also take a long time to turn on, but I have learned to start typing my password before it comes up.

Yeah the thing is one's VGA and the other's DVI - so I can't switch them round (the vga monitor only has vga, and the dvi one well I wouldn't want it on vga ).

Maybe I'll learn to do that too :)

I have the same problem as you, but I found a solution!!!

I went to Dual Monitor Shortcut(s) to Control Dual Monitor Computer
and I clicked download (its in the text) and I installed

Then I closed all windows and went to my taskbar and looked for the "M" logo and right clicked it
when I did that all I had to do was click on "Change Primary Monitor" and It worked!!

Now I login on one screen and then when logged in it automatically sets the other monitor as my main. Hope this helps!
