I think the last thing anyone wants to hear when it comes to Nvidia is being told to wait longer

But the internets would go very quiet if all opinionated speculation ceased entirely...

28nm is still a rumor, no solid leads have ever been connected to it as far as I can find.

The 6000 series are indeed expected to be 28nm, but since it's in the hands of TSMC... I wouldn't hold my breath for Q1 2011 either. Maybe even Q2...
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't AMD/ATI in the process of moving a lot of their chip manufacturing over to GlobalFoundrie, so they don't have to rely on TSMC so much?

It's being said the first load that are planned for Q1 2011 will be through TSMC, with derivatives following, which will be done with GlobalFoundrie 28nm process

What would be awesome is if GF's new fab, Fab 8, was finished now. The most modern fab in the world would produce top notch chips. Too bad.

GF do indeed seem to know what they're doing, and when ATI do start using them, and Nvidia, then it will be interesting to see what comes out of it.

It's pretty interesting because they used to be a part of AMD, now they're well on their way to becoming the next biggest foundry in the world, ready to challenge ARM someday.
