    GeForce 9650M GT driver issue


    HI, I have Asus M50V series with GeForce 9650M GT and i still have this problem, yesterday i downloaded NVIDIA GeForce 9650M GT (Prerelease - WDDM 1.1) driver through Windows Update, but if i tried open NVIDIA Control Panel the application has stop working. I tried Vista32 drivers before with the same result :/

    Hello Mrzzzak, and welcome to Seven Forums.

    You might try the latest 181.71 Windows 7 version from NVIDIA to see if they may work better for you instead.

    i tried to install these drivers before:
    GeForce Release 181

    but it didnt even let me - something about my graphic card isnt supported...

    Because it only has support for desktops not mobile, go to NVIDIA & Laptop News | Latest NVIDIA drivers and related news | laptopvideo2go.com to get a modified inf that supports your card.

    Well Mrzzzak,

    Other than using the default graphic drivers that Windows 7 installs, there's a 179.48 Vista 32-bit driver version available for your 9M series card. :)

    2Brink: i installed them, but still cant run nVidia control panel -> same as others for me
    2YupYup: i didnt find modified INF there for my graphic card :/

    Mrzzzak,

    If the drivers posted by YupYup above do not work for you, then you may need to use Compatibility Mode with Vista selected on the driver installation file to be able to install the Vista drivers I posted above.

    YupYup: thx for modified INF, i downloaded 181.71_vista 32bit driver, copy there modified INF and install, but still cant run nVidia control panel
    Brink: if i use Compatibility Mode, it cant recognize the type of OS and shut down installation...
