everything on W7 looks thinner.

was just wondering if W7 has a better aspect ratio? But I noticed in games things look thiner too. I was playing street fighter 4 and some characters looked like they needed to eat :|

If the resolution setting doesn't help, another thing to check would be whether CCC is set to use GPU scaling to correctly match the aspect ratio of your display.
In CCC Desktops and Displays > right-click on the small monitor image > configure
Alternatively check your displays settings.
Underfed fighters sound like an aspect issue :)

From what I can see, it is just the desktop image that is different. Win7 has many different ways of displaying the desktop image. If you right click the Desktop & click Personalisation, then Desktop Backgrounds, there are many different Picture Position settings (Fill, Fit, Strech, Tile, Centre).

It looks like you just cut and pasted 2 images together.
Anyway, no it does look thinner in some games and not others. GTA4 looks perfect.I'll just try different ratios in game.
Since its here, GTA4 now has frame lag for me. Never lagged on xp. Is it just one of those games w7 doesnt like as much? Lack of ram due to w7 actually using some?
1 more thing, I dont have gpu scaling option. I use a vga controller.
