It's a fair bet he went straight to the new drivers

Could you describe this flickering a little bit more please?

Ie are some textures flickering, the screen flickers when firing a gun etc

    At ThePizzaMan,

I don't think the 5700 series hotfix has been released yet, at least I hadn't noticed them. And I'm always visiting here - CATALYST Drivers - Rage3D Discussion Area

And you might be thinking of these - GPU54ATICatalyst101, but they were for the 5800 series dealing with intermittent grey screens and vertical line corruptions

To the OP... Does it just happen in Crysis? If it's only Crysis, I wouldn't lose too much sleep as that game had/still has all types weird anomalies.

Also check that your card isn't being over heated by poor ventilation

I have only noticed it doing it in Crysis so far while fireing a gun or running but it does do it at 7 start up to. it only reaches 65c while gaming for hrs on end as it has good ventalation as i have a fan pulling in cool air opoisit it.

I'm wondering how much if any of the problems are due to this,

    PSU Arctic Power 500W

The only reviews I can find on this power supply are from one of the sites that sell it, anything else is forum posts saying to avoid. Just wondering if a known good quality PSU would make the problems go away.

TBH i dont think the PSU has anything to do with it, as i got this PSU runnig a GTS 250 no problem on my intel quad system i built a few weeks back and my mate also has this PSU and it works fine so im sure it is an ATI error as there are more people having the same problems to in other forums
