    gts250 v ati hd4890

Im having problems with my gts 250 , when I play a game and use for a while ,I then change from xp to win 7 and it gives me 1 long bleep followed by 3 quick peeps . I am using an asus mb and this puts it down to no vga detected. I am now getting the same if I use win 7 and reboot , it will most times load ok but sometimes it give the error . I have a mate that has given me an hd4890 card to try, what I want to know ,is this as good as the gts250 or better ??? . my card is still under warranty

4890. Title threw me off because of the typo. I actually looked for a 4980 for a second.
