lol yeah, still an obscene waste of money to buy 3 displays capable of that resolution :|
Personally I wouldn't set monitors up in that kind of way to make 1 big monitor as the edges of each monitor would annoy me with how it breaks up the overall image.
while a huge amount of money, I concur no man would need another gfx card for the next 3 years. This card feels like its being made to support crysis 2. Crysis was so high power it was used for benching after all, this could be a counter attack for crysis 2.
i would'nt say it gives higher resolutions, its more a pseudo aspect ratio than anything. its not true 2560x1600 otherwise the aspect would be totally wrong.
that said.... i'd prefer a card capable of applying 4x or higher AA with the least decrease in performance, over a high resolution. some of us can still see jaggies at 2560x1600 :P
Well, Crysis 2 is heading to consoles as well, so unless they screw up the PC optimizations and eye candy features, it probably will run better than the original.
Then again, Metro 2033 made it to consoles but still brings a high-end PC to it's knees...
P.S - old news
Sapphire 4GB '5990' unvieled
ATI 5990. That's going to be sick. I can't wait to see the benchmarks for that beast.
