MSI geforce 9800gx2. Not sure about the problem.

Good ok so last night i reinstalled my windows 7 and ubuntu (dual boot system).
Then a weird problem occured for some reason:

I have a geforce 9800gx2 from msi and my monotor is a LG Flatron w1943SB.

In my previous install my resolution was 1360x768 and for some reason when i do that windows 7 says : out of reach 69.5khz / 85kh ?
Also i see that my monitor is displayed as: generic non php monitor. While in my old install it actually found my monitor.

I do not have install driver cd's of the monitor so i went to the lg website and downloaded a driver: but that driver is just a zip file with 3 files and no exe in it.

Does anyone have an answer to how thos has happened and what the solution might be ?

    Greetings Hans

To install drivers w/out an .exe you'll need to go into device manager and right click the device in question. Go to properties > update drivers > Browse for drivers > point the window to the drivers you downloaded.

They may not install if they're unsigned though.

As far as the video drivers, I'd suggest installing the latest drivers if you haven't already.
