HP dv1000 integrated Graphic driver problem

    Hello,
I am working on a dv1000 repair for a friend who purchased windows 7 and wants it installed on his dv1000. I got the sound, chipset modem and everything working. However the graphic card drivers are being completely ridiculous.. Everytime I run the install after the reboot I get the following "Installing graphic device.." "Driver was not sucessfully installed." I then have a "Video Controller" unassigned in my device manager.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Apparently even in compatibility mode windows 7 does not accept the Intel 82852/82855 XP driver..

If anyone knows of an alternative driver or any type of solution that will work, it will be helpful.

The problems I get now is that videos dont render properly and move like a slide show. The second problem is the resolution resets after every reboot. My resolution area currently reads "Generic graphic accelerator" and I have even tried the 945Gm drivers as a legacy and regular.. No dice..

The best way for anyone to address your concerns in the most accurate way possible is for you to fill out your system specs. In that way, we would all know if you have a notebook or desktop; you have 32 bit Windows or 64 bit Windows... etc, etc.

It would help us and you a lot.

He needs more ram, at least 1gb more. My w7 desktop idles on top of 500mb minimum is most cases.
