Problems With Video Drivers & Win 7

I bought my Dell Latitude D600 off of ebay. When I asked what kind of OS I wanted I could chose between Win 7 & Win XP. I chose Win 7 not knowing that the graphics card in the computer wasn't compatible with Win 7.

I'm not sure what I can do. Should I go back to XP on this computer?

I'm trying to play FFXI, but it's telling me that there's an error with Direct3D-1.

If anyone could help that would be awesome!

The Mobility Radeon 9000 doesn't have Windows Vista or Windows 7 drivers. You can try installing the XP drivers in compatibility mode though.

Right Click Installer > Properties > Compatibility Tab > Run this in compatibility mode > Choose Windows XP in the drop down.

You should go back to XP i'm afraid. The system doesn't meet the minimum requirements for Win7. There are too many drivers that arn't available on Vista or Win7. XP is still a good OS and will work well with the Dell.
