Well XFX are only making 1,000 of these 5970s, so I imagine people will go to any lengths to make sure they get one. And if I'm right, I think only ASUS and Sapphire are making these 4GB versions, and XFX is the only one to do it with 6 DisplayPorts, so it'll be the one a lot of people are after I guess.
Well I don't know about ya'll but I'll be happy when this has been palyed out and see what the actual price of the card is and how it preforms.
The sad reality is that similarity specced cards will be common place soon enough. (A couple of years/revisions etc)
Paying 10k+ for a 1+K card now - the shame of stupidity will last far longer than the card ever will.

This definitely sounds like a ploy. I really can't see a "normal home user" paying 10K a video card unless they have money to throw away.
Even with "bragging" rights, how much are you going to get out of it for the lifespan of the card?
And with tweaks here and there someone is going to match it for a fraction of the cost.

This card looks well good shame a i can't afford 1lol but i think the whole stolen card is an advertising stunt as no one would pay 10k for a GPU really would thay as that would be mad you can get a car for that amount lol
Sorry that's the wrong card. The one of the 1000 has six monitor support and 4 gigs of DDR5, and the fan is located in the middle of the card. See post #11 for a picture.
