Open the case grab a household fan if you have one and point it at the inside of the case and see if it does not crash after you get the temperatures down.

It could be that the thermal paste between the CPU & fan has begun to dry/flake or fade. I'm not sure of the likelyhood of this to be honest but it might be worth looking into.

Good. We can basically confirm SpeedFan is accurate; it gives constant readings on both operating systems.

As for checking the thermal paste; that would be hard and doing so in a retail store brought computer probably would void the warranty.

Take it to geek squad. Wait, nevermind, they suck.

Take it to a local computer repair shop. Tell them your computer's processor is heating up to about 130 celsius. Ask for a new fan, new heatsink, or a new power supply. They'll fix you up.

You could just buy a new computer. I never bother with repairs; I either live with it or buy a new one . But then, I never had any major computer failures.

Fixing stuff will never bring it back to its original state. Do you still have a warranty on any part of your computer?

No, I do not. I didn't bother with it because the warranty on Wlamart's computers are like, outrageous... Plus, I'm poor. Lol.

What model is your computer? There may be recall information.
