    Graphics Card Assistance! URGENT!

Well, I just installed Windows 7 on to my computer and yeah It's ok now because there's no aero and it constantly freezes. I already knew why this kept happening, due to my graphics card of course. It's the only spec that's causing fuss.

Now, you would need to see my specs first.

    Interl (R) Pentium 4 CPU
    2.20 GHz
1.5GB Ram DDR <-- Important spec.

Ok, the reason I came here was because I need some advice on what graphics card I would need.

What I have now is a very, very ancient Nvidia Geforce4 MX 440, lmao. Anyways here some specs of what the graphics card and motherboard are capable of.

So, can you give me some advice on what graphics card would be good for me?

For your AGP slot, I would recommend this board:

    Newegg.com - XFX HD-465X-ZPF2 Radeon HD 4650 1GB 128-bit DDR2 AGP 8X HDCP Ready Video Card

I don't think you'll find any better than that anymore since they are technically no longer made. You'll be able to rock Aero and a few games very nicely as well.

No. the type of RAM in a graphics card can be different than the RAM on your motherboard.

Ok, thanks for clearing that up, your info is great. Now me and my dad can upgrade the computer. I'm not much of a technical guy but I'm learning. I am 13 lol I have time.

Thirteen is a perfect age to start digging into computers. That's about when I started.
