The 6200 works perfectly well with latest NVidias drivers. I got my machine downstairs with that card. Never a problem. Just install.

okay i installed 7 on my system already and my graphics card wasn't up to the requirments and the graphics look pretty bad and I'm sure i'm not getting the "real look". I jsut got a GeForce 6200 AGP 8x and when i install the hardware and turn the computer on nothing happens...

I DO NOT HAVE A XP OR VISTA INSTALL DISK OR WHATEVER. I DON'T EVEN HAVE A WINDOWS 7 DISK :X

is there a way to install the vista or 7 drivers without having to go back to XP or Vista? I really need help.. my resolution is stuck in fullscreen so it stretches everything to fit my widescreen moniter. pleaseeee help me... just tell me how to install the windows 7 driver for this graphics card without having to install an older OS.

    In addition

Im running the same card (Geforce 6200 8X AGP) and have the drivers from Nvidia previously mentioned. When you have installed them go into the Nvidia control panel and turn everything up anti aliasing etc. Your see a big difference. Im running Windows 7 with Aero and as standard it produces a Windows index of 2.0 with everything turned up your get 4.0 so instead of clicking and a second later getting a window open its instant. Obviously you may have to alter the settings for playing various games.

Strange....Im runiing a PNY GeForce 6200 8X AGP with 256 DDR and I loaded 7 on my comp without a hiccup! Got an experience rating of 3.1. I used the driver that came with it in box. when I ran Vista I noticed the rating would drop if I updated the driver so I stuck with the original one. Win 7 gives the card a higher rating than Vista did! My advice is stick with the driver it came with....latest isnt always the greatest!

I've never, yet (hopefully never do) had a problem with a GeForce 6800 8x AGP and Aero works perfectly, and I'm fortunate to have a Experience rating of 4.5 !

Is this a P4 processor? I was under the impression that x86 processors would not support 64 bit OS... The 5500 is probably a mid line card and upgrading to a higher end AGP may fix your dilema. I just upgraded to a 6800 GT OC from my GeForce 6200 and the improvement was almost double in the experience rating. Shot in the dark, but worth a try.

Download and install this driver. First extract it to C:\NVIDIA then use the device manager to install. Right click the video card. Update driver software. Browse my computer. Let me pick. Have disk. Browse. Find the nv_disp.inf you extracted and double click on it. Hit ok.
