    Sapphire HD 3450 AGP

Is this graphics card compatible with windows 7 and aero aswell as games like gta san andreas and gta 4?

I have AGP 8x. I do think this will work.

Also. I have 2gb ram 2.4 Ghz sometimes overclocked, intel pentium 4.

Running Windows XP right now. I have windows 7 ultimate CD but not yet installed it.

    37.2 GB available hard-drive space.

Will those games work with that card, probably. Will they run at an acceptable level, not likely. You CPU is also under the minimum requirements,

    Minimum:

    • Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8Ghz, AMD Athlon X2 64 2.4Ghz
    • Memory: 1.5GB
    • Free Hard Drive Space: 16GB
    • Video Card: 256MB NVidia 7900 / 256MB ATI X1900
    • DirectX 9 compatible Stereo Sound Card
    • Keyboard
    • Mouse
which is a dual core (with a quad being the recommended), where your P4 is only a single core.

Another thing to consider is Windows 7 and AGP cards. It is totally hit and miss as to whether they will work properly, if at all due to the usual lack of a proper AGP driver (that is for the AGP slot on the motherboard, not the video card driver itself). If you haven't seen it this thread,

Install AGP Drivers for HD 3850, 3650, 2400 PRO

should give you an idea as to the hoops some have had to go through just to get an AGP to work.

As much as an upgrade over the MX400 in your specs the 3450 would be, unfortunately with the rest of your specs it isn't really worth getting. You would be better served to hold of on Windows 7 and those games until afford a system that is better suited to them.

Though, there is a chance that it may work?

I don't mind about not gaming but windows 7 may work.

Plus, I was able to play gta san andreas with the MX440 in normal quality quite well.

Also, does this card support aero? Thats the main question.

San Andreas yes on low graphic settings. GTA IV definitely not(especially with a P4). Don't even bother. Man you really need to get a new computer if you expect to play newer games.

Yeah, doesn't matter anyways. I have another Quad computer which I use for intense gaming. I use this one for web programming and using programs.

GTA SANANDREAS will be a minor game I might play when on this computer.

Anyways lol, my main question hasn't been answered yet, will aero run with this graphics card?

Which, the HD 3450 or the MX440? The HD 3450, definitely. The MX440, not even if you sacrifice a chicken.
