    PCI Graphics Card Advice

    I need some advice on the best graphic card to meet my needs. For this instance, I am defining best as cheapest. My needs are as follows:
    * PCI graphic card (I do NOT have PCIe)
    * Provide "better" performance than the integrated controller. This is my wife's machine she watches youtube and does some simple picture editing and viewing.
    * Needs windows 7 drivers

    We got the windows 7 upgrade for cheap, which is why we migrated from XP. So far all has been good. The integrated video card operates, it just seems slow and not high quality. I assume any after market standalone would be better.

    I am looking for a minimum of fuss (which is why I want the windows 7 drivers). I would like to utilize the full aero interface.

    Thanks in advance.

    mattstoc, welcome to the forums.

    Not the greatest, but definitely better than the Intel onboard you currently have,

    Newegg.com - SPARKLE SFPC84GS256U2LP GeForce 8400 GS 256MB 64-bit GDDR2 PCI HDCP Ready Video Card

    and yes it has Windows 7 drivers.

    That is what I needed. I was circling around that one earlier and read a bad review about windows 7. As you are aware it is impossible to tell if the person writing the review knows what they are talking about.

    THanks
