    [SOLVED]Graphics Card Info Won't Display

I don't know what it is but Windows 7 doesn't recognize my graphics card for some reason....... I have scanned several times for driver updates, still nothing seems to fix my problem...

I don't know what causes this, dxdiag displays everything else properly as far as I know....

    Thank you,

I'm not entirely sure..... I wouldn't know where to find it on my motherboard. Do you want me to take a pic of the mobo? I don't really know what the card physically looks like.

When I had Xp, it had no problems identifying the card... Why is Win7 having problems?

Type msinfo32 into start/search and hit Enter. On the info page go to Components > Multimedia > Display. Double click on Display. That should show your graphics card.

Edit: Is that what you were talking about or what? It's the closest thing I could find to what you described. Although it appears the information you were searching for isn't there =\

Yeah, that's were you normally find the info for the graphics card. But yours really shows nothing. The only reason I can think of that your graphics card is not enabled in the BIOS. Maybe you want to check this.

Heh.... Could you explain how to go about doing this please? I'm not familiar with the BIOS, never used it.... I think.

The chipset on the motherboard is the Via K8M800 and looks like it is probably onboard video, but need to know what the motherboard is. Grab this,

Speccy - System Information - Free Download

and hopefully it will show the make and model of the motherboard.
