1280x800 resolution not available on W7

I have installed W7 (in a virtual environment) on a laptop with a native resolution of 1280x800. However, W7 does not provide me with this option in the resolution settings. I checked the advanced settings too and this options isn't available. Any idea how I might be able to fix this. Right now I'm running at 1024x768 but would really like to run in the wide screen mode.
    Thanks.

The double post was a mistake, and I couldn't find a way to delete the 1st one.

Anyways, yes, the native resolution is 1280x800 at 60 Hz. Its a PnP device part of the Mobile Intel 945GM Express chipset family.

You might have to scale back to the drivers you were using before. The 945 drivers put into windows 7 are a bit wonky.

    Maxwell,
I'm still on XP, so I downloaded the winvista_1583.exe (32 bit) package from Intel for this chipset and tried to install, but the package doesn't support W7, so it aborts. Is there a way to get the relevant .inf and .sys files so that I can try installing manually.
    Thanks.

    Vista drivers should work...

Hm. Either the base Microsoft drivers or the vista versions of the drivers should work. I've installed 7 (x64) on my laptop with 1280x800. On the applications that failed to install either forcing it to run in Vista compatability mode made it work, or rebooting for some issues that I had. I don't know if it will be the same for you as I did mine with x64 and my drivers were for the Intel 965 Mobility chipset.
