    XFX 1GB Radeon HD5770

Hello there, I'm new to these Forums. But would like to a few questions, I'm looking on NewEgg at a XFX 1GB HD5770 and would like to know if anybody else has this card for playing Recent Generation Games.

Right now I have a Sparkle PCI (not express) 1GB 9400GT and I'm not even going to bother installing that on my new PC due to the Big Bottleneck its going to cause. My Step Dad and a friend just built me a new PC, specs as followed

Intel mATX Motherboard (1 PCIe, so no SLI. And 2 PCI)
    Core2Quad Q8300 2.5Ghz
    4GB DDR2 RAM
    500GB HDD
    5 Fans Total
    RealTek HD Sound
    Integrated Intel GMA X4500

all in a ATX Case (So space is not a factor)

How will GTA IV perform on this machine, I'll probably be doing some online Multiplayer too. I Also plan on buying these games,

    -Mirrors Edge
    -Modern Warfare 2
    -NeedForSpeed Shift
    -NeedForSpeed Hot Pursuit (2010)

    and possibly Dirt 2.

PS: You ATi user's probably know about ATi Overdrive, With the Auto-Tune feature I've heard about, it custom Overclocks your Graphics Card, am I correct? Will this hurt my card at all, should I be worried about it breaking during the Auto Tune?

I have this card along with the 1GB 5750 CrossFired. Works for all the games I own with high for most game settings (but, as I stated, CrossFired)

I also have used the Overdrive utility to overclock the cards to 950/1435 for the 5770 and 860/1420 for the 5750 (850/1200 and 700/1150 stock clocks).

    No problems to date.

Of the games you listed, I have Mirror's Edge and Dirt 2--can play both with settings on high (beating a dead horse, but in CrossFire)

I know for a fact it would play all the games I have now at least as smoothly as my 260. I got that exact card, but ditched it because of driver issues.

It would play those great. Even better than the 260 because it has DX11, and I believe Dirt 2 uses that.

Awesome, going to be ordering it Monday or Tuesday. I won't be playing at Super High Resolution since I'm limited by my monitor which is a 27" Olevia LT27HVX (1280x720, crystal clear to me). Thanks! It'll be a big jump from my Old Pentium IV Gaming.
