893 MB is roughly equal to 1GB of ram with 128MB shared video memory. Or maybe it's a mix of 3-4 different size DIMMs and actually is 893 MB. Either way, I'd be surprised if anything more graphics intense than, say Civilization 4, runs at max settings regardless of the GPU you install.. definitely spend the cash on memory.. it's cheaper than a graphics card, easier to install, and will improve almost every aspect of your computer's performance more significantly than any other available upgrade for the price. 4 GB of DDR2 costs less than $100 American.. well within your budget. Nuff said on that subject.
Pretty much what I asked. If it is some no-name 300W or so power supply, then about the best you could run on it is that G210. Both the 4670 and 5670 despite not needing a connection to the power supply, still will require at decent power supply with enough volts and amps (and more amps than volts) to run properly. A weak power supply can cause all kinds of instability problems, from slowdowns to crashes, and at worst if a really bad one go out in a puff of smoke (or a loud bang) and hopefully only kill itself when it goes.
