    Here are the ATI recommended power supply requirements for the ATI Radeon HD 5770 and 5750 video cards that just became available:


    450 Watt or greater power supply with one 75W 6-pin PCI Express® power connector recommended

    600 Watt and two 75 watt 6-pin connectors for ATI CrossFireX™ [COLOR=blue ! important][COLOR=blue ! important]technology[/COLOR][/COLOR] in dual mode

    I would not try it with a 300 watt PSU.

    I'd say yes, I have a 475 watt PSU and am running the XFX HD5870 1Gb XXX Edition w/o issue, it actually uses less power than the HD 4870 that was in it, just make sure the screw alignments and dimensions are the same and you're good to go.
