    monitor flickering

windows 7 32 bit with GA-MA785GM-US2H - GIGABYTE motherboard which has onboard ATI Radeon HD 4200 graphic. Monitor is Qptiquest Q20wb.
I have installed latest ATI driver.
Refresh rate is stuck at 59hz on windows monitor properties and it shows 60hz on the ATI Catalyst properties screen.

I can't get the flickering to stop. Can someone help me out?!
    Thanks

IF the monitor does not support 60Hz you have to force the video card to see it as 59Hz it will be an option where it shows your monitors signal in the drop down box.

Is the 1600x1200 a native resolution to your monitor and is it one supported by your video card (GPU)?

    mcdull, welcome to the forums.

It could be an EDID issue. If it is have a look at these threads and see if any of them help,

LCD Native Resolution, EDID and 59Hz issues

    Refresh rate stucks at 60Hertz

If neither of those help to a search of this forum using EDID as the search term, it will return lots of threads.

@ neoasr. If you want to run at 1600x1200 then you need a monitor that runs at the resolution, not one that has a native resolution of 1600x900,
