I was thinking the new GTX-460. Inexpensive, but a good gaming card from Nvidia.
It is faster than the GTX-465, runs cooler, and not a power hog.

That literally has NOTHING to do with whether or not an ATI card will work just as well with an Intel CPU as an AMD CPU.

From the HP website:
Quote:
Choices:
Integrated graphics - ATI Radeon HD 4200 [VGA]
512MB ATI Radeon HD 5450 [DVI, HDMI, VGA adapter]
512MB NVIDIA GeForce 315 [DVI, HDMI, VGA adapter]
1GB ATI Radeon HD 5450 [DVI, HDMI, VGA adapter]
1GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 220 [DVI, HDMI, VGA]
1.5GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 230 [DVI, HDMI, VGA]
So it looks like you have a PCIe x16 port. You will need a video card with that.

No problem.

You should make sure your PSU is powerful enough as well.

The motherboard RAM will not make a difference.

When you are looking for a video card, this is what needs to be compatible:
Slot Type (AGP, PCI, PCIe)
Power Supply (needs to have enough watts and amps)
Case size (some cards get big)
