You are still missing the fastest part of the the system and that would be a SSD Drive.

Where in the world are you anyway?

I usually get lost in the translation of currency and such and costs in two different places. For me, in the states, the above config from NewEgg comes out to about $2900. Which is a beast of a machine as far as I am concerned. And that's only about 1/2 of what your original budget of $5,000...so you can understand why I was a bit confused as to how you would spend that much money.

It should be a very strong machine based on those specs.

Yes I have noticed the US has cheaper computers in all the stores I've been too. This is the lowest price I can get in my country. I've been in so to say every electronic store there is, and this is the one with the best prices.
I am actually pretty happy as this is a good price for a norwegian site, expensive as hell here
I know I should probably buy the parts and build it, but I don't know enough. And I like the thought of professionals building it :)
I'm also looking forward to getting rid of the dell system.
And the corsair obsidian looks like it rocks

Yeah, nice system, but I don't have the budget for it :)
Do I really need a 1000w psu for the rig I have now?
    I mean isn't 850w enough for one 5970 and a i7 960?
