Wow, this is the second post in the past few weeks about people who want to spend nearly $5,000 on a computer. I mean with that much money it seems the sky is the limit and you can really do just about anything that you could possibly want. Personally, I don't think that I could even spend that much money on a single rig.

I priced out a dream machine on Cyberpowerpc.com for around $4000, though I can't afford it

It included the top AMD 6-core, 8GB RAM, a 4GB 5970 (dual 2gb GFX cards), a small SSD for the OS, 2 HDD's, blu-ray burner, DVD burner, 7 Ultimate and Office 2010

My current PC is from Cyberpowerpc, purchased in spring 2008, and works beautifully - they offer AMD & Intel builds

The problem with that is the top AMD 6 core only performs about as good as the middle of the road Intel 4 core (Core i5-750).

I personally get all of my parts from NewEgg. For best performance, invest in an SSD drive for your OS. With your budget this would not be a problem

Hehe. Well it's about priorities i guess :P
I really don't do much exept sitting on my computer.

Okey Here is my system details so far:

    Intel® Core™ i7 960 Quad Core Processor (3.2GHz, 8MB Cache)
    Dual 2GB GDDR5 ATI Radeon™ HD 5970 CrossfireX™ Enabled
    6GB DDR3 1866MHz (3x 2GB) Tri Channel Memory
    1.2TB RAID 0 (2x 640GB SATA-II, 7,200 RPM, 16MB Cache HDDs)
    Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium
    PSU on 1100 Watt.
    Liquid Cooling.

    I don't really need a stronger processor do I?
I mean with this graphic setup and all, I don't really see the point in paying so much more for a i7 xtreme.
Please let me know what you think.

Why Liquid Cooling? Do you have a plan to substantially overclock...because without that....liquid cooling just isn't really worth the effort.

Do you need a stronger processor? Hard to tell, but based on what you have said thus far....I think a core i5-750 would fit the bill and provide more than enough power. I don't see any reason you need to spend more than about $2000-$2500 on this computer.

    Well i would like to have a i7 ^^

    I don't need liquid cooling with an i7 and crossfire 5970's ?

Hmm just looked at cyberpowerpc.com, it has very good prices, with the same specs i saved about 500 bucks from the last site I checked

Do you plan to buy this built, or do you plan to purchase the parts yourself and do the assembly?
