    LED Screen too bright!

My LED laptop screen is too bright even at its lowest settings. It strains my eyes when I'm working on my computer at night. I tried adjusting the contrast/gamma/etc from the Intel Graphics options, but they keep reverting back to the original settings before I get a chance to click OK. Does anyone know how to fix it?

yeah my wifes new laptop has an led screen and adjusting the settings via control panel wont stick ive not had time to figure out why , but if you adjust the brightness via the FN key it works

does your laptop keyboard have a set of "extra" options either on the function or number keys , it will be in smaller print , your looking specifically for the up and down brightness symbol , these functions can be acessed by holding down the function key (FN) then tapping the required key , in your case the brightness

heres an example of what im rambling about , obviously your keys will differ

oh i see , so when using them does the brightness change and stick as you set it?

the only other option is some kind of anti glare cover for your screen

    maybe something like.................

Lexerd - UMID mbook M1 TrueVue Anti-Glare Laptop Screen: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo

not sure if its an option or if it will help dim the screen a little , they are primarily to reduce reflections a problem you wont have in the dark
