    Finderprint Reader Not Detected ?!


    Fingerprint Cant Detected !!!
    I Am Using HP PAVILION dv3500 Notebook(dv3611tx)(Window 7)
    Recently i juz send my notebook to HP service and they change my motherboard cuz i fried it =.=
    Before sending to service my fingerprint work fine but after that changes of motherboard...my fingerprint cant detect anymore...and ask me to connect the fingerprint reader...
    And during the logon scrren...Finger print logon software show "Detecting Reader" then after couple of minute it show "Reader Not Detecting"...
    Already Try reformat my Window 7 and Reinstall The Fingerprint Reader Software And Driver

    Sounds like a hardware problem. Can you see the finger print reader in Device Manager? It sounds like they didn't reattach it to the mother board correctly.

    It dint show any fingerprint at device manager...
    Bt Hp centre said nothing to do with hardware...@.@
    they advice me to format and use Window Vista...

    Look within Human Interface Devices and Other Devices for it. If the software runs and the finger print reader isn't detected, then it sounds like its not connected. I know a friend had a similar model and she had this problem with her web cam. But look all through device manger to be sure its not there somewhere. How much longer do you have on your warranty?

    Hmm...i see i see...
    then how was you fren?did she fix it ??
    Yaya...my laptop still under warranty...last week i did visit HP center to ask them to fix it for me...
    they juz said mayb my laptop cant support win7 fingerprint...then juz download tht both software and driver for me...@.@

    All those devices under Other Devices are missing the proper drivers for them. We fixed her laptop by taking it apart and I reconnected the cable. This looks like it might be a driver issue after all. See if the people at HP center can help you find the drivers you need to get those devices working properly. Until we confirm that all devices have the proper drivers installed, I'm not going to advise trying to take anything apart.

    Mayb i shud leave my notebook there and let them troubleshoot then...
    Bt as before when my fingerprint was working fine...it dint show any fingerprint thing on device maneger aws well...
    So now...i juz remove the password n let it auto logon @.@

    If no one else has assess to your computer, you can feel free to let it auto logon.

    hahaha...actually i am the one only will use it...
    juz feel tht the fingerprint wad there bt i juz cant use it...kinda frustrate...
