    Webcam Pro 9000 with W7 32 or 64

I use to have a quickcam fusion webcam from logitech and recently upgraded to webcam pro 9000. After many experiments and searching this forum and logitech's forum for answers, the problem seems to point at Skype users. The problem? Voice speeds-up during the initial voice chat with someone and when performing the first echo-test with Skype.

I recently changed the compatibility to XP SP2 for Skype. Voice chat works on the first call.

IMO the problem is not the logitech drivers or sofware, nor is it with W7 32 or 64. I "think" it has to do with compatibility between Skype and Logitech Pro 9000.

    What say you?

    Hello niceget,
I have the same camera at home and don't have any problems with it when using skype. What settings do you have for the mic in skype?

I am running windows 7 32 bit with this camera and have had no problems. You should be using the drivers supplied by windows update and you do not need to use compatibility mode.

Good news! Skype version 5 has stopped the "chipmunk" voice when making a first call of the day. I like the UI as well. I think Skype finally caught up with Windows 7 32 bit!
