32bit or 64bit of windows??

    32bit or 64bit of windows??


    my question is. should i go 32bit or 64bit of windows 7??

    my specs are: its a hp pavilion notebook

    intel pentium dual core 1.6 ghz (1.8 ghz)

    4gb ddr2 ram

    nvidia geforce 8400m gs 256 mb ddr2

    so whats best for my pc. 32 bit or 64bit??. i want to my laptop to be optimal and fast as possible.

    On the surface, that dictates the answer to your question, however, we can't really give you an answer. Only you know what software you need to use...and if it is compatible or not.

    The platform doesn't affect the speed and performance. It does affect the amount of memory you can use, and the security you have in place.

    Normally, I'd say, unless you have a very specific reason for needing the run Windows 7 x86...then go with Windows 7 x64.
