Blown Motherboard
How can you tell if your motherboard is blown? By the capacitors?
How can you tell if your PSU is blown?
Thanks!

it could be both, because sometimes when a PSU blows, it takes the Mobo with it. If you press the power button, does the power supply start?
This is a desktop, i assume?
well, if it won't start, then that tells me your PSU might be blown.
Do you have another PSU you can try?
or another Motherboard?
This is a Clients Computer, so I don't. But I didn't know if there was a way to test the PSU voltage wise or look for anything. No capacitors are are blown on the MB.
I don't think there's really any other way to test it besides swapping out the PSU and testing.
another thing, might seem like a stupid thing, are you double sure the power button is plugged in all the way?
<edit> just realized what i typed about testing the connection wouldn't work, no way to power it on :P
A power surge may have tripped the resettable fuse that some PSUs have. Unplug the AC power cable from the computer for a minute or so, and then plug it back in. Sometimes they just need to be reset. My HP at work does it quite a bit, which is why I hardly use it.
