A little updae.

Got the lappy in pieces thanks to a couple of photo Tuts on Removing the Keyboard and Removing the MoBo from Inside My Laptop.

Well one thing that was wrong with it was that it would never load or play DVD's or CD's.
I haven't managed to try it tried it yet but I imagine it'll play alright now that I've removed the 9" strand of hair that was wound around the drive spindle!

As to the non-working DC Power Jack, with the aid of some strong reading glasses and a 10x Lupe I found a hair line crack in the solder on the back (dry joint?). Anyways for under 4 I've ordered a new DC Power Jack from good old (?) eBay and I suitably lubed my mate up early doors on Sunday.

So with a bit of luck....
