Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit

Let's refresh our data:
1. Do you have a wireless printer? How is your printer hooked up to computer?
2. Is the new modem compatible with Win 7
3. Who is your IS provider and how is it hooked up to your computer?

I have help coming so "It ain't over till the fat lady sings!"

OK not knowing the specific printer I can only work in general terms.

Manually reset the printer to factory defaults set to use DHCP for IP management, (you will find the method for this in the manual for the printer). you actually only need to reset the print server, but a complete printer reset often works better.

once the printer is ready in ex factory state connect it to the router.

f you have a utility disk that came with the printer then assuming that this is compatible with win7, run the software to add the printer.

If you do not have a disk or the software is not compatible the first option is to use add printer in the printers and devices screen to add a network printer, this will use windows own driver database first and then if needed try windows update, (this may take a while), if not you can manually install the drivers to disk and then point to this location when given the browse my computer option.

the final option is as The howling wolves described with a manual (USB) connection to the printer and adding a port to switch to network printing.

The Ricoh site isn't working for me at the moment so I'm not entirely sure of it's specs etc. I'll try again later and amend this post accordingly.

Can your printer be connected to your PC via USB (for test purposes)? If so try that and see what happens.

Can you access your printers local website (by typing its IP address into your browser's URL bar)?

If the printer supports Apple Talk (the protocol used by Apple on Macs but also compatible with PCs) you may want to try that by using Bonjour Print Services for Windows . It's quite straight forward to use so I'll leave you to it.

Have you tried turning off the printer.
Unplugging the Ethernet cable.
Turning the printer back on.
Turning the printer off again.
Plugging in the cable.
Turning the printer back on again. (In that order).

If you have not already attached a static local IP to your printer via your router I recommend you do that as well.

If you have another computer, try setting the printer up on that.

I hope this is useful for the time being.
