Are those internal drives or USB attached.

Is the sata your primary drive? What is your secondary drive? How are they set up in the bios? Are you saying BOTH drives vibrate, both drives suddenly stop and both drives make a noise?
How do they appear in Windows (screen capture)
Are you able to boot up?

So I assume they are internal drives (Sata drives can also be external). I suspect that they are feeding on each other and amplify each others vibration. All disks vibrate to a certain extent, but here it seems to be an amplification.
What you can do is check all the screws with which they are bolted to the bay. You might even want to swap them around between the bays.

If it's sympathetic vibrations, that would be one thing. Are the drives tightened down? Do both drives work?

Random temporary freezes and strange mouse cursor performance

About gaming performance and disk drives!
I just saved my Oblivion disc image to my computer using Daemon Tools' Disc Imaging. This will save the game disc from being scratched and other unpleasant things like that. But a question came up: Does it have any effect on my game performance if I play Oblivion by image mounting on Daemon...

Strange issue with my Pen Drives.
I'm having some odd issue when it comes to pendrives on my PC since a few days ago. I plug the USB pendrive on the USB port and Windows 7 recognizes it correctly, it even assigns the drive letter and even appears on Windows Explorer, but when I double click on it to see its contents it doesn't...

SATA drives.. Enabling better performance??
I was looking at one of my 320gb SATA interna 3.5 inch drives from Seagate today, and noticed some nice little jumper pins around the back of it. Curious, it says that if they are pinned, it will limit the SATA drive to 1.5 gbps, and if not pinned, will allow 3gbps. Currently, they are pinned. I...
