    Phone or camera not recognized

Dell pc desktop. 64 bit. For some reason when you plug in a device, a phone or a cammera, it is not recognized in the USB port. I tried the front and the ones in the back as well. Any ideas? Thanks.

Driver support is missing, use your device manager to confirm if the drivers support the device.

I found a 537ST. If that's yours, the latest bios is A03. Please make sure you have the latest bios.

Open your device manager, as mentioned above, and look for yellow warnings.
Device Manager Windows 7 - How Do I Open Windows 7 Device Manager?

Check the following Dell site to get the latest drivers for your system

Make sure you have performed all Microsoft Windows updates.

try putting a pen drive in the usb drvie n see if its recognized... working fine, then no issues wid yur USB...
the prob may be wid the USB cable yur using to connect r evn the USB port is givin the device proper voltage to get recognized...

so if thats the issue ten v hav to talk a lot abt yur PSU... so hav a silly check.... by inserting a pen drive....

Ok.......sorry took so long. Looks like a flash drive, cammera, phone, etc. IS recognized by the pc but the problem we're having is these items will not automatically open up in windows explorer. Went to the auto play and set all to open folders to view files using windows explorer but still nothing happens. Thanks for the help.
