nope the prob is wid their router i hope.....
also chek with your frds who use the same ISP if they hav any issues... n get it confirmed..
but evn the router they hav depends upon the plan you chose... they hav high speed router's n low speed router's... they can send traffic to your connections to reduce your downloading Bandwidth.. evyrthn....

so if the prob is not wid yu, then its obiviously wid them...

Maybe it's me then. The other people in the house aren't having any problems. It hasn't happened in several days. Which is odd. It's been a daily problem for several weeks now.

Thanks for the advice.

If the other machines at your house aren't having problem then it's not an ISP problem.

If this is a wireless connection " you never made it clear if this is a wired connection or not" there is a good chance this is a channel crossover problem from one of your neighbors. Use this Xirrus wi-fi inspector to find clear channels in your area.

If this is a wired connection then I would need more info about the network adaptor.

Ok, thanks for the links.

My pc has the modem and it used to have the router, but when I thought it was a router problem, I unplugged the router. Now the 2nd pc in this house has it's own modem and router and the 3rd pc is connected to the 2nd pc wirelessly.

Is it true our pc's are more secure with a router connected to it? Since it's not causing the problem I'm tempted to hook the router back up again.

Thanks

From what I've read, having a router is like adding another barrier of protection for you computer.
The best defense is a good offense.
