USB device Issues

I tried plugging my PSP into Win7 64bit today, here's what hapened.

Win7 could not install the device.
Try a different port, no luck
Restart Win7
During windows starting screen mouse and keyboard lights turn off.
No USB devices work within the OS.
They do work in the repair utility and BIOS menu.
They do work in Win7 install screen.
System restore to yesterday didnt work.
???

So now I'm stuck at the Win login screen with no keyboard or mouse working.
Any ideas?

I had that problem with the Beta and the RC1 on my laptop. I thought my USB ports died. They would push power but nothing I plugged in would actually talk to the OS. I ended up going into the Control Panel and under the "Universal Serial Bus controllers" there is this item listed: "ATI I/O Communications Processor USB 2.0 EHCI controller" when I disable that my ports start working again.

I don't know if you have that listed in your Control Panel or not but I thought I would share the solution I found to a very similar problem.

Good luck!

That does make it harder. I missed that part where you said you were stuck at the login, my bad. Does your system have the PS2 connectors for KB and mouse? If so maybe you could borrow one from a friend to at least login and check? I wish I could give you more ideas. Good luck!

Yes! Unplug the PSP.

Same thing happened to me with a USB card reader and a 4gb CFII card. Post screen and a dead stick.
