I was just goofing around online and came across this beast. Now I would surely be a single man with a great drive if I got one and granted I have no plans for either but this sounded pretty cool.

I hear you but according to the reviews it looks like there are two people that have one in their computer. I just got a kick out of the speed and the cost.

Hi there
Whats the point of having money unless you use it -- you could either give it away for charity or buy something that you really like -- however putting a large SSD into a domestic computer is certainly a waste since you won't really reap the benefits -- It's a bit like you have a Ferrari Body (SSD Drive) and you are going to put a Vokswagen Engine in it (Home computer).
We've all bought "Boys Toys" at various points in our lives -- but I'd put this SSD in something more appropriate if you have to like see if you can pick up a CHEAP used server box for example.
Cheers
jimbo

Currently loaded with 4GB DDR400.
I get XP to boot up in 8seconds from power off.
From Standby, it resumes to desktop in 3seconds. Pity the monitor I use with it comes out of standby in 8seconds...
The mobo only has 2.2ghz amd, 2gb ram... but its still quick for a basic desktop PC.
However, I do have to reimage it with everytime the power goes out for more than an hour..
