Mine did this a few days ago, but it wasn't the same kind of printer. What i did was i turned the serge protector off and left it off for about 5 minutes then turned it on a BAM it worked!
Maybe it could work for yours too.
    Good luck.

I could not print in Word 2010 with Brother MFC 210c. It didn't do anything or give me an error, it just wouldn't print. I opened the print qeue, and it showed error-printing. So I deleted and tried again. I didn't delete it after the tenth try. I left it there. And went back to word and tried to print again.
When I went to file, print and before clicking the printer button in the new screen, I noticed it showed my default printer with an error. Still no number listed. So I clicked the down arrow to choose another printer and I see my brother printer is listed yet again. So I chose the 2nd instance of it and it printed. So I'm going to delete the first one and change the 2nd one to default.

I thought I'd mention this here in case anyone else has this same problem. Apparently, windows installed my printer and so did I.

Same issue, if someone finds a solution, hopefully they'll come back here and let us know. I looked all over the web for the drivers but I can't find anything. After I installed it off windows update, I still couldn't print. I think if I could install it directly, it might work.

After all the searching and the poor instructions from Microsoft and Brother, all I had to do was pull up Device Manager and update drivers on the MFC210c printer, at least this worked for me.

    MFC210c wouldn't work

No, I'm saying that was my solution. It worked. Somehow, Microsoft with it's plug and play, installed my printer before I did. So there were two MFC printer's noted under devices and printers. I kept selecting the one I had chosen as default (the one I installed) and it wasn't working. Then I saw the 2nd MFC under printers and I deleted the first and set the 2nd as the default printer. It has worked ever since. Just a weird little quirk of a new operating system, I guess. Glad you got yours working too.
