    Computer to LCD

My last description was deeper(accidental delete) but basically the deal is I have a new i7 comp with a Radeon hd 5770 with dual monitor outputs(and I'm just learning to game). I wanted to hook my comp to my tv using a recommended dvi to hdmi cable. So, I hook it up, switch to hdmi 3, and all I see is my desktop wallpaper. No icons, no cursor, nothing. Any ideas???? It could be something in media center, but here again, in some matters I'm useless.

    Thanks to all!!

If you're using the TV as a secondary display there won't be anything but the wallpaper on it until you drag it over from the main/primary display.

left side). As far as the no cursor goes, the TV on the left or the right? If you have the TV-monitor going from left to right and it is set as monitor-TV in the display options, the mouse will stop at the left edge of the monitor and not move to the TV (but it will go off the right side of the monitor to the TV's. Right click on the desktop and select Screen resolution, then drag the TV to the proper side if the main monitor, then the mouse will go from left to right as it should.

I think I see what you're getting at, and where I'm going wrong. I'm not looking to go with dual monitors, I simply want to be able to watch movies that are on my pc, on my tv. Now I see I must be going about it the wrong way.
    Can you help?
