Thats the thing , I tried to change it but it show no IIDE picked up or no SATA ( only usb boot device )
It gives no option to change boot up sequence for hardrive or dvd rom just for usb drive
When i unplug that drive it will boot up into windows

    thanks saakeman

Do you have the jumper set correctly on the second IDE HD ? Is the first HD, IDE ?

The bios is up to date (msi live update )
The jumper is off (i removed that black little thing that lets you put it into slave blah blah)
    but still does that !

See when i plug this hardrive in i unplug the other one
because i want to install linux mint on it but the bois doesn't pick the hardrive up
it also doesnt pick the dvd rom up as bootable device
i run linux on a live usb and when the hardrive is in it doesn't pick it up
but when the other "windows" hardrive is in it picks it up

On the IDE cable there will be 2 connectors (Normally, most people use sata now and most only come with 1 connector IDE cables Z:) Use the one furthest away from the MoBo side.

Yes i only have on IDE PORT on my mainboard but my windows run from it so i unplug windows plug the drive in and also run the dvd rom (IDE) with the hardrive
but it doesn 't pick it up on the bios or linux mint
