I also wanted to get Noctua NH-C12P SE14 so much but there are no suppliers who sell it in Israel.

The Noctua NH-D14 is a very good CPU cooler, better than the SE14, it's just big and expensive.

Again, if you're not going to overclock, save yourself some money and get something a little less expensive. Not knocking the D-14, for the price of what it does, it does well.

Had I not got the SE14, I would have got the D14. What deterred me though was the size, coupled with the fact that I knew I didn't need it for my overclock needs.

Again, very good CPU cooler with great reviews.

What about the Mugen you heard about it ?

Cause according to some people here in Israel is very good cooler does the job perfectly as well.

About OC I want to be like you to overclock just a bit for example from 3.06 to 3.5 or so I will be glad to get some help from you as well with that.

Btw I checked the UD5 comes with REV 2 not 1.

As to the Mugen, I've not heard of it, you'll have to research it yourself to see what other have to say. Google it.

With regards to overclocking, that is an art form that requires lots of research, reading, and trial and error. I would suggest you talk to you friend with the old system about it. I would also suggest you look here seeing that you'll be getting a Gigibyte board - GIGABYTE

Hi kele, welcome to the seven forums.

Please be aware that you'll need to start your own thread for your issue. Posting a separate issue in someone else thread is consider hi-jacking.

Also, when you start your thread, we'll need more info about your issue. Please see this post - How To Ask For Help

Old rig:

EVGA P55 FTW Motherboard
SAPPHIRE 5970HD Video Card
Corsair Dominator GT 4GB Kit 1600MHz 7-7-7-20 OC to: 8-8-8-20 1900Mhz
CPU Intel i7 860 2.8Mhz OC to: 3.8Mhz
Thermalright TRUE 120 Extreme
NOCTUA NF-P12 120mm 1300rpm X2
HDD SSD Corsair 128GB 200/220 Mb/s
HDD Westren Digital 250GB
Corsair HX1000W PSU
Thermaltake SPEDO ADVANCE CASE

Or go for new rig:

Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD5 Motherboard
HD 5870 Vapor-X OC 1GB Video Card
3x2GB Corsair Dominator-GT Triple Channel CL7
CPU Intel i7 950 3.06Mhz
Mugen II Rev.b 5 Heat Pipes CPU Cooler
Callisto Series 60GB SSD Sata II MLC 2.5'' Retail
Caviar Black 500GB 7200RPM, 32MB
Corsair HX850W PSU
P183 Mid Tower Black

Price difference between those 2 is 500Euro.
Hi Reverence - here is option #3

Just my 2 cents but I think I WOULD go for the old system and spend the 500 Euro savings on upgrading to 8 GB of Ram AND a larger Data Drive (Like a 1 terabyte SATA 3 GB/sec) !!!!!!

1) The old system has the better, more Powerful video card (5970 is dual GPU and 2 GB ram)
2) Upgrading your Ram would give you more ram in the older system
3) The old system has the faster processor (still Core I7)
4) The old system has a nice FAST SSD that has twice the capacity of the new system
5) And upgrading you data drive to 1 TB would double your storage space

Thats what I would do

The Scythe Mugen 2 Rev.B is a very good cooler, but everyone says it is a pain to mount. If you do get one, make sure it is the Rev.B.

Be sure to read the comparisons and the conclusion

At the moment, either monitor is fine. The LED is a little more expensive because it is newer technology, and won't have nearly as long as a warmup time. But in all honest, you don't need to buy an LED monitor. Both sizes are fine, again it is mostly what you want to do. The refresh rates should be reasonable for a gamer.
