I have a Lenovo when I go to gotomypc the keyboard types numbers instead of letters, it stays in sequence 0123456789 and repeats.

Welcome to Seven Forums Jerrjames. Does this only happen in GoTo? If not, press the Num Lock key (or Shift & Num Lock ) to type the letter on keys that are shared with numbers. A Guy

    Letters to numbers

Appears to only happen with gotomypc. I have a Gateway 10" I use for travel that has 7 and it is fine. So it is not the the work computer I am logging on to

I have the same problem. Only happening on GoToMyPC. Not an issue with the computer I'm connecting to as it works fine from a different laptop. Just started happening. Types the first letter as a letter, and the rest as numbers. Did you find a resolution?

I have an Ideapad Y560 that is having this same 012345... problem, so far with only 2 applications: logging into Yahoo Msgr. (ie: typing my ID) and typing on a remote computer with LogMeIn.com

It's so very odd. I can type in any other program (ie - here) just fine, but switch over to Y.M. login, and I will get only 1 correct keystroke, followed by 34567890123...

2 notes to clarify what's happening:
    1) I get this numerical sequence even if I just keep hitting one key (any key) repeatedly.
    2) If I use the shift key, I get the characters as if I were hitting the number keys (!@#$%^&....), always in sequence, no matter what key I hit.

Thanks to Will999909. His tip led to me finding the correct answer in the Lenovo forums. This is a problem particular to Lenovo Ideapads. The fix is simple & quick:

I was experiencing the same problems and came across the solution that worked for my Lenovo Y550 laptop. Here it is:

Typed letters appear as increasing numbers ( 0,1,2,3,4,5). When I type letters they appear as numbers which increase instead of letters.

This issue could be caused by a software program called GuardedID. Follow the steps below to prevent the application from starting up or you may remove the application if you want to.

To prevent GID application from Starting Up:

    Click Start
    Click Run
    Type "msconfig"
    Select "Startup" tab
    Unchecked GID desktop application
    Press OK then reboot laptop.
    or

To uninstall GID Application from Windows

    Click Start
    Click Control Panel
    Click Add / Remove Programs
Search for "GID" / "GID Desktop Application
Select the item and select uninstall
    Reboot when uninstall is done.

Hope this helps those coming to look for help! :)
