The free version will not merge partitions. "This function is not supported in MiniTool Parition Wizard Home Edition." That is the error message I get. That said, it appears that the free bootable CD version does support merge, but I am having problems with that as well. First, I burned two coasters (ends up the file didn't completely download, as the ISO I was trying to burn had a different file size from the second one I downloaded). Once I got a bootable CD, it appeared to be loading, asked me for the resolution of my monitor, and then gave me an error: /bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off. It appears there is nothing I can do <http://www.pcmech.com/forum/computer-hardware/215620-partition-wizard.html>. There are options to change the custom load script, but I don't know enough about Linux commands do anything with that. So back to the drawing board. Maybe I should just spend the $19, but then again, I think I'd rather have the 4 partitions, and mess around with resizing them, instead. I can live with that situation, it would just be nice to merge the partition (just not $20 nice).

Just do one task at a time on the resizing, let it finish, then do the next.

Did you try this? Paragon Partition Manager Personal

The demo I tried was going to let me merge two partitions, I just didn't finish it.
