    Battery Problem

Since I installed Windows 7 RC1 on my PC, I started having a problem related with my Sony Vaio VGN-FE41S battery. When I insert it, my computer displays an error saying that the battery is incompatible and the computer will hibernate because of that.

    Any solution?

Hi Reckoner and welcome to Se7en Forums

This sounds like a power management driver issue. What does your laptop actually do when the battery is installed (apart from displaying this message)?

Thanks for the welcome message. :)

Well, after I put the battery, Windows 7 recognize it but that message appears and nothing more. After the message, my PC just goes to hibernate mode.

Did you install W7 with the battery inserted, and was the battery charged when you did so?

OK. Try reinstalling W7 with the battery inserted (and charged).

That would take much time and patience. Is there any other solution?

I'm pleased that you have managed to solve your problem. I note that it was, as I suspected, an issue with the power management drivers.
