Yeah, my main goal was to upgrade the desktop to at least a Dual-Core 2.5Ghz Processor, 4GB RAM, 64-bit Windows 7, 1GB (or 512mb depending on cost) graphics card.

Here's what I am running on right now. It runs Rc-7100 very smooth, but I don't do any Gaming.

I am running Windows 7 RC Build 7100 (x64) and Halo 1, 2 and Fable: TLC run fine, better then in Windows XP x86/Windows Vista x64.

Infact any game I run is better then it was on Vista/XP for me, though only if I use the Vista drivers for my video card, if I use the Windows 7 drivers things are very limited.

I see more members here with Intel CPU's, but I have preferred AMD Cpu's for over 20 years now. Just my personal opinion, I guess. But I don't use for Games, I use for personal & business.

Eh, Intel seems to be the main CPU these days, Apple is using it, every single OEM. I am neutral on it, I'll use whatever is faster lol

Eh, I'll probably just 'attempt' to build a desktop from stuff on Newegg :P start off with buying a case/PSU, then a motherboard, then CPU, then DVD-RW/CD-RW drive, etc.

I love this site (reffering to Sevenforums) I learn so much from it lol, I wish they would put the '-- Black - RC' theme on Vistax64 though.

I didn't write it. Limneos in Greece did. But I have been one of his chief testers since March. The Chat is neat!

I seem to have popped in here a little late, I have only been active on this forum as of late.

Sounds like doc helped ya out, I recently upgraded from an core Intel Core 2 duo @ 1.86 GHz to an Intel Core 2 quad core at 2.4 GHz, with all the fixings.

I have been attempting to get rid of the old board and processor , let me know if you are interested.

I would be happy to just get it off my hands, willing to take pictures etc, I might even give it to you for free if you pay shipping.

Seems it would be a waste to just toss out, then again I don't know if you want something faster or etc.

    Let me know :P

I can hook you up with specs on the board and etc. If needed, I should have the box and stuff but cant be sure.
