    Windows 7 Device Stage

Paul Thurrott writes about the Window 7 Device stage in his review of Windows 7, Build 7000

    Windows 7 Device Stage

I mention in my Windows 7 Beta review that I don’t have a Device Stage compatible device so I can’t test that feature. But I was told via email by Andrew that the Sansa Clip works, and sure enough, I do have one of those. Here’s a shot:

    Nice!

Wow. I hope this kind of compatibility finds its way into many, many devices. This is what plug and play should have been.

It does - I am trying to figure out compatibility with an older iPaq over the next couple of days (iPaq originally had WindowsCE 5 but I 'upgraded' it to 6.0) and thus far Windows 7 isn't recognizing it - but that is a back burner issue as I still play around with the OS....

    Curious bump.

I have a sansa view and device stage worked on build 7000, but no other build past that including 7100. Anyone have device stage working on 7100?
