WD or Seagate for acer aspire?

looking for a new hdd for my acer aspire 5050.it currently has a 60gb seagate momentus ide drive, and there is my problem, can't remember the last time i saw an ide drive in a laptop the offerings out there for laptop ide drives seem to be poor enough though i have only checked WD,Seagate and Samsung so far.
i already have an external hdd but want a bigger onboard hdd for the acer for speed and ease of use(speed in that i am currently at 50gb capacity).vast majority of laptops i have seen inside seem to have Seagate hdd in them, why?
reccommendations are sought and appreciated,i want a hdd somewhere between 100gb-200gb simply because i do not need it any bigger than that on board and i can't afford a bigger one anyway.i have tried e-bay but have had issues with the last two drives i got from vendors off there s not confident of going that route.

Best Buy is good for somethings...

(Odd thing is I can't check any other "shopping" sites as my work has shopping sites filtered -- but I can get Best Buy???)

I don't think you'd do bad with that drive. I purchase a 160 GB version last year for my wife's laptop. Performs great! I don't know about the overseas shipping, though.

Western Digital. Purchase over e-bay from a reputable dealer and not the cheapest.
