    Can't Boot Windows 7 anymore!!!!

    Hey Everyone,

So here is my problem. I recently deleted a partition on my second hard-drive that had Linux on it. Now my windows won't boot. I found out that my MBR got corrupted some how through deleting the partition. I tried using windows repair, but its not even detecting windows 7 on the HD. I tried going to ASUS to DL the drivers to load up but nothing is working. I am not sure what to do here. Anyone know if maybe i need to mess with the bios or is there a specific driver to load up in repair.

    Try this:
    MBR
boot to the windows install disk, and at the install now menu type shift+f10
then type the following commands one at a time and press enter after each one:

    bootrec /fixboot
    bootrec /fixmbr
    bootrec /rebuildbcd
    exit

then shut down, restart and your problem will be solved

Also, you might want to check on the status of your hard disk. I got plenty of bad sectors after some constant reformat / reinstall of OS on this PC. On the command box, type: chkdsk <drive letter> or chkdsk <drive letter> /F /R. I'm still having troubles with the hard disk. I'll be ringing this PC to the shop where we bought it since it still under its warranty. .

It seems your HD got loose or its slot is busted. Why not re-place it at some other slot?

i unplugged and replugged in all my SATA drives...IDK. So I tried to install Win 7 on the old HD with the clear partition. Install worked, still wont boot it up. The other HD is unplugged to avoid issues. I ran win repair...it actually detected the Windows install, but the BIOS is still not detecting the OS. It detects the HD in the BIOS but express gate fails to load it. I am about to break down and buy a new HD and start a completely clean install. But I fear that when I flashed the bios to try and fix the problem it cause more issues.

I would certainly say there is something wrong with your hard-drive.
