    USB losing power?

Hello everybody and thanks for the help.

I'm having problems with the usb ports in my pc.
The wireless mouse and keyboard are losing range , i use to used it like 8 feet away from the receiver but now i have to be really close to it.
it only works when you are like 2 feet or less from the receiver , i tried in all the usb port in the pc , tried new batteries and another wireless mouse and keyboard and the result is the same.
    thanks

    Erick

Pls do so and also make sure there aren't obstacles between the receiver and the peripheral and that there isn't much electomagetic devices around (this may sound weird but they do deflect the radio waves..).
