    Lost drive

    Hello!

I wonder if anyone can help!

I have had a program running from the "D" drive, everything was ok until the motherboard decided it had had enough.

The new mother board has only 1 ide connection, so the "D" drive has had to go, however, I cannot now reinstall the ABBYY Fine Reader Sprint that was running on the old "D" drive.

I had tried to remove all traces of the program through "RegEdit", I have done an in depth search of the computer, but still when I try and re-install I only get the modify, repair and remove screen. What ever I do it says the ""D" drive does not have enough space for this function".

    Any ideas
    Thanks

If you replaced the motherboard, you should format the boot hard drive after you swap out the motherboards. It would most likely solve your issue as well. You could also try a registry cleaning program too, if you haven't already tried that. Hope this helped! If you need to back up any files that are on the boot drive, then you should use another computer to do so, or use a Live CD to allow you to access the drive and move everything to a different drive.
